Be A Tree: Understanding Dog Body Language
Upcoming Events @ Your Public Library
Description
Children
Did you know that most dog bites happen to children under 14—and often, they can be prevented?
Join us for Be A Tree, a fun and interactive program designed to teach children how to stay safe around dogs. Using a colorful PowerPoint presentation, we'll explore how to read a dog's body language, recognize warning signs, and learn the do's and don'ts when meeting new or unfamiliar dogs.
Presented in partnership with the Dove Landing Training, LLC, this evidence-based program helps children build confidence and awareness, using role-play, visuals, and plenty of kid-friendly activities.
Whether your child is a dog lover, a bit nervous around animals, or just wants to learn something new, this session is a great way to grow knowledge and safety skills.
Space is limited — register today call the Pamlico Library at 252-745-3515 or stop by for a visit!
